Voter Registration and Elections

About the Registrar

The voter registrar provides all voter registration transaction services.  The registrar also maintains electronic and manual files on all county voters.  The registrar certifies candidates and issues to be placed on the ballot for election day.  If there is any change in voting status or location of polling place, the registrar is in charge of notifying people.  When the election is over the registrar is in charge of certifying the election results to the State Board of Elections.  The registrar also conducts absentee voting.
